Proyecto ansiedad zero en quirófano: reducción de la ansiedad preoperatoria previa tumorectomía de mama mediante la implantación de realidad virtual.

Introducción: La ansiedad preoperatoria ha demostrado presentar complicaciones tanto peri como postoperatorias.
Objetivo: evaluar si la ansiedad preoperatoria disminuye mediante la visualización de un video de realidad virtual.
Metodología: Estudio cuasiexperimental, no aleatorizado, sin grupo control, que compara los niveles de ansiedad mediante la escala APAIS pre y post intervención, previa tumorectomía de mama.
Resultados: Se reclutaron 10 pacientes para el estudio piloto. La edad, el nivel educativo, el tipo de anestesia y las cirugías previas no tienen correlación con la ansiedad preoperatoria. La realidad virtual tiene relación con el nivel de ansiedad preoperatoria.
Conclusiones: Existe relación entre la visualización de realidad virtual y el nivel de ansiedad preoperatoria en pacientes previa tumorectomía de mama, ya que los niveles de ansiedad disminuyeron. Se necesita más investigación en esta área.
