Abstract

Introduction. The prevalence of gonarthrosis is increasing, infiltrative hyaluronic acid treatment is offered. A followup
is carried out to evaluate the pain and the degree of satisfaction.

Objectives. Evaluate the benefit of treatment with Hyaluronic Acid from the point of view of functional pain and degree of satisfaction.

Material and methods. Observational, descriptive and prospective study. 50 patients between 65 and 90 years
diagnosed, treated with hyaluronic acid infiltrations were included. Face-to-face and telephone follow-up was carried
out at one month, three months, six months and one year. The pain measurement instrument was the visual analogue
scale and the Cres-4 scale for the degree of satisfaction.

Results. Reduction of pain (92%), especially after the first three months, accompanied by a high degree of satisfaction (78%).

Discussion. Improved functionality, reduced pain and a high degree of satisfaction.
