Abstract

Invisible care is a set of interventions specific to nurses that have to do with careful observation, with empathy, with knowledge and with experience. They are imponderables and intangibles and are highly focused on the needs of each patient. They are understood, therefore, as a dimension of the tasks of caring, being based on humanization and transcendence. It is the care in its maximum essence. We conducted a literature search on the effect of invisible care on patients, concluding that they are an indicator of improving the quality of nursing care and that there is a lack of dissemination and implementation in our health system.
